Shri. S. Ramakrishnan Director, 01/06/2010 - 31/12/2012 LPSC, ISRO

Shri S. Ramakrishnan held the position as Director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) from June 2010 to December 2012. From January 2013 to June 2014 he served as Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC).

He holds a masters Degree in Aerospace Propulsion from IIT, Madras with 1st Rank in the year 1972.

Before assuming charge as Director, LPSC, he was working in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and held various important positions such as Project Director, PSLV, GSLV Mk-III and Director (Projects). He is recognized for his contributions in the areas of Launch Vehicle and Aero Propulsion.

He is a Member of several Professional bodies like, INAE, ASI, AeSI, IAA etc. He has received ASI Award-1998, Dr. Biren Roy Award-1999 from AeSI, Padmashri-2003 and ISRO Performance Excellence Award-2006.
